Analysis of today’s social, political, and economic issues from the viewpoint of representative philosophers from Plato to moderns.
Prerequisite(s): EGL-1010 or PHL-1010, PHL-1090 or PHL-1330, or permission of instructor.

Course Outcomes
  1. Differentiate philosophical from non-philosophical issues in the field of law.
  2. Evaluate competing philosophies of law.
  3. Justify a philosophical position with regard to some element of the legal field.
  4. Apply philosophical reasoning to contemporary issues in the field of law.
