Prerequisite(s): EGL-1010 or PHL-1010, PHL-1090 or PHL-1330, or permission of instructor.

  1. Distinguish between reasoning about religion and religious testimony.   
  2. Analyze the assumptions behind religious claims.  
  3. Evaluate conflicting claims about the ultimate reality. 
  4. Apply philosophical reasoning to a current religious controversy.
