PHL-2400 Business Ethics

Examination of ethical issues of the business world, including health on the job, consumerism, ecology, and advertising.  
Prerequisite(s): EGL-1010 or EGL-1020, or PHL-1010, PHL-1090, PHL-1330, or any previous philosophy course, or, for students seeking CPA certification, a degree from another institution, or permission of instructor.
Formerly PHL-1400 .
Course Outcomes
  1. Distinguish between moral and non-moral issues in business and/or the workplace.
  2. Evaluate competing ethical claims.
  3. Justify an ethical position relevant to the business and/or workplace world rationally.
  4. Apply ethical reasoning to contemporary ethical problems in the business and/or workplace world.
