PED-1000 Lifetime Fitness and Leisure Activities Credits 1 In this course students explore how wellness impacts health. Students examine various exercise guidelines according to national standards. Activities include aerobic workouts, swimming, weight training, tennis, and/or combination activities. Students apply various rules and techniques related to fitness and /or sport skills. Lastly, safety guidelines to minimize injuries are covered. 1 class/2 lab hours. Course Outcomes 1. Identify concepts of wellness and exercise guidelines.
2. Perform multiple fitness and/or sports skills properly.
3. Apply basic rules, techniques, and safety guidelines related to fitness and/or sport skills.
