RAD-2540 Clinical Radiography V Credits 4 Final course in the clinical education component of the program. Expands upon knowledge and skills from previous clinical education courses. Supervised, competency-based clinical education with emphasis on application of comprehensive didactic knowledge and demonstration of proficiency in clinical practice. This course serves as a culminating experience for the program, ensuring that graduates are prepared for entry-level positions in the field of radiography. Prerequisite(s): RAD-2410, RAD-2530, RAD-2580 Capstone Course(s): Capstone course: Students must complete a minimum of 51 credits, including all prerequisite courses, prior to enrolling in this course. 2 days/8 hours. Course Outcomes
- Adapt positioning according to patient condition/underlying pathology.
- Perform radiographic procedures with minimal repeats.
- Set and manipulate radiographic exposure factors adapting to patient’s condition.
- Critique radiographic images and formulate appropriate corrective action.
- Communicate effectively, using proper medical terminology when necessary.
- Consistently practice proper radiation protective methods.
- Function independently, with minimal assistance, as would an entry level radiographer.
