Credits 2
In this course, students complete an intermediate service experience at an entry-level position or service project in an organizational setting under supervision. Students establish several performance and service-learning goals and apply course content in a practical setting to achieve these course goals. Additionally, students reflect on their service experience, civic responsibility and select artifacts that illustrate their internship and/or academic experience. Lastly, students enhance their professional skills in the workplace. Service-Learning internships are nonpaid (with a minimum of 64 on-site hours). Internship sites are either selected from placements offered by the Service-Learning Office or proposed by the student. All placements must be approved by the Service-Learning Director prior to course registration.
