THE-2901 Entertainment Technology Internship Credits 3 THE 2901 provides students studying Entertainment Technology the opportunity to work in a real-world environment regarding the Performing Arts and Entertainment Technology. Students will examine the tools and apparatus used in these industries as well as apply their safe usage while working in a backstage production position. Students will become familiar with the hierarchical structure of production positions in the Performing Arts and Entertainment Technology becoming familiar with their different relevant functionalities. Additionally, student receive the opportunity to examine how the Performing Arts and Entertainment Technology impact positive social change. Prerequisite(s): THE 1301 or THE 1401 completed with a C or higher, or concurrent enrollment in THE 1301 or THE 1401, or with permission of the Department of Humanities. Course Outcomes 1. Identify the fundamental tools and apparatus utilized in staging the Performing Arts and Entertainment Technology Events.
2. Apply the safe usage of the fundamental tools and apparatus utilized in the Performing Arts and Entertainment Technology Events.
3. Identify the hierarchical production positions within the Performing Arts and Entertainment Technology
4. Perform a production position within a Performing Arts and Entertainment Technology Event.
5. Describe a proactive application of the Performing Arts or Entertainment Technology regarding a positive social change.
