INT-2480 Network Automation Credits 3 This course is designed to prepare students for the Cisco Certified Devnet Associate Certification. Upon completion of this course, students will be prepared to take
DEVASC exam to achieve the Cisco Certified DevNet Associate certification.
In this course, students learn the basics of software development, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), fundamentals of networking, application deployment, infrastructure and automation using Cisco platforms. They will use Python programming and Linux to create scripts for network automation, monitor and manage secure networks. Students who complete this course will be prepared for entry level jobs in Network Programming and Automation. Prerequisite(s): INT 1700, INT 2240, and INT 2450 Course Outcomes 1. Utilize Linux skills and Python programming to parse different messaging and data formats.
2. Implement a development environment using DevNet resources.
3. Use software development and design best practices for Network automation.
4. Create REST API requests over HTTPS to securely integrate services.
5. Deploy secure applications and data in a cloud environment
6. Compare and contrast software testing and deployment methods in automation and simulation environments.
