- Identify the focal interests and primary research methods of anthropology and its subfields with a focus on cultural anthropology.
- Analyze the function of ethnography and ethnology and the role of ethics in anthropological research.
- Evaluate the role culture plays in creating and sustaining subsistence patterns, kinship, language, identity, political integration, religion, human diversity and the modern world system.
- Distinguish among basic cultural anthropological terms and concepts relative to cultural anthropology.
- Evaluate how anthropology can be applied to solving human problems.
