ART-2550 Sculpture II

This course offers the student the opportunity to more thoroughly explore concepts of three-dimensional art. Emphasis is placed on independent selection of materials and their aesthetic implications and how they relate to contemporary sculptural images.
Prerequisite(s): ART-1550 .
6 studio hours.
Course Outcomes
  1. Utilize advanced sculpture vocabulary.
  2. Create original sculptures from drawings to completed works using a variety of techniques, tools, and materials.
  3. Operate shop and foundry equipment correctly and safely.
  4. Critique artwork in depth, focusing on subject, form, construction techniques, and content.
  5. Analyze artwork in depth, focusing on subject, form, construction techniques, and content.
