Course Outcomes
- Explain the principles of gene segregation and independent assortment.
- Predict gene inheritance transmission patterns in classical and non-Mendelian systems.
- Solve problems involving gene linkage and gene mapping.
- Explain fundamental principles of molecular genetics: DNA replication and coding; transcription and translation; and protein biochemistry.
- Compare and contrast gene regulation in prokaryotes and eukaryotes.
- Describe the human genome, with emphasis on the roles of genes in human biology.
