GEO-1020 Physical Geography Lab Credits 1 Laboratory work complementary to the theories and principles of GEO-1010 (Physical Geography). Climate, the biosphere, and the earth’s landforms. Prerequisite(s): GEO 1010 completed or concurrent 3 lab hours. (Not offered summer.)
Course Outcomes
- Identify fundamental mapping principles.
- Identify fundamental weather and climate-related indicators such as temperature, wind, precipitation, and cloud cover.
- Demonstrate examples of biogeographic processes, global biographic patterns, weathering, erosion, and water flow, as well as the presence of specific soils and earth materials.
- Evaluate physical geography-related current events.
- Analyze the on-going issue of global warming and climate change and its affect on the ecosystem.
