HIM-2590 RHIT Exam Prep

This course focuses are preparing students to pass the national examination for the Registered Health Information Technicians (RHIT) Certification. Students will complete a comprehensive review of data analysis and management, compliance, legal, coding, medical reimbursement quality, and information technology. Each student will be required to take the certification at the completion of the course.
Prerequisite(s): HIM-2511 with grade of C or higher.
Corequisite(s): HIM-2530, HIM-2580.

Course Outcomes

Apply the methods and elements of data analysis and management in a HIM setting as applied in the AHIMA RHIT exam competencies.
Identify legal and compliance issues relevant to the HIM setting as applied in the AHIMA RHIT exam competencies.
