HUS-1020 Professional Ethics in Human Services Credits 1 Prepares students for ethical decision making in the human services field. Includes the study of selected professional codes of ethics. Case studies will be used for additional practices and integration. (Not offered summer.)
Course Outcomes
- Identify the ethical principles that are outlined by the National Organization of Human Services and the Council for Standards in Human Services Education
- Discuss how legislative changes and judicial decisions affected the development of codes of ethics for the delivery of human services
- Discuss case studies of ethical dilemmas that are faced by human services professionals and organizations
