Program Description
This certificate will help to prepare students for entry-level positions in the field of Cybersecurity with a concentration on systems’ security administration and cyber-analytics. Upon completion of coursework, students will have the foundation needed to pursue CompTIA’s Network+, Security+, Cloud+, Linux+ and CySA+ industry certifications. Students wishing to pursue an A.A.S. degree may apply these credits to the Cybersecurity A.A.S. degree.
Program Outcomes
Graduates of the Cybersecurity Certificate will be able to:
- Identify and remove network security vulnerabilities and threats
- Monitor the security infrastructure to analyze network problems and traffic flow
- Create and enforce an organizational security policy including contingency plans
- Apply fundamental information technology concepts in order to manage files and effectively use a variety of information technology tools.
